Lady Lions participate at George Mason's Patriot Games

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Lincoln University women's indoor track & field team was in action on Saturday afternoon, participating in the George Mason University Patriot Games.

“We continue to build upon our youth and learn each time we get on the track,” Lincoln head coach Ray Williams said. “On the track, Miles Green continues to have great competitive efforts as he won the men's 400 meters and both Andrea Fields (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville HS) and Assad Monroe qualified for the 60 Meter finals, while Andrea Carter (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon HS) put out another person best in the women's shot put in field events.”

In the 60 Meters, Fields was eighth in 8.03, while Vanessa Chance (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Collegiate) placed 11th in the 200 Meters in 27.83. Shannon Spaulding (Stamford, CT/Westhill HS) finished 11th in the 400 Meters in 1:01.42 and Courtney Malcolm (Rochester, N.Y./School of the Arts) was 10th in the Long Jump in 4.91 Meters. Jataun Cobb (Aliquippa, Pa./Center Area HS) placed 12th in the Shot Put in 9.65 Meters and Carter was 14th in that event at 9.35 Meters.
