FAIRFAX, Va. – The Lincoln University women's indoor track & field team was in action on Saturday afternoon, participating in the George Mason University Patriot Games.
“We continue to build upon our youth and learn each time we get on the track,” Lincoln head coach Ray Williams said. “On the track, Miles Green continues to have great competitive efforts as he won the men's 400 meters and both
Andrea Fields (Clinton, MD/Surrattsville HS) and Assad Monroe qualified for the 60 Meter finals, while
Andrea Carter (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon HS) put out another person best in the women's shot put in field events.”
In the 60 Meters, Fields was eighth in 8.03, while
Vanessa Chance (Brooklyn, NY/Brooklyn Collegiate) placed 11
th in the 200 Meters in 27.83.
Shannon Spaulding (Stamford, CT/Westhill HS) finished 11
th in the 400 Meters in 1:01.42 and
Courtney Malcolm (Rochester, N.Y./School of the Arts) was 10
th in the Long Jump in 4.91 Meters.
Jataun Cobb (Aliquippa, Pa./Center Area HS) placed 12
th in the Shot Put in 9.65 Meters and Carter was 14
th in that event at 9.35 Meters.
Fields will be in action next week as she was invited to the New Balance Invitational in New York with hopes to hit the IC4A/ECAC standards.
