LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. (May 4, 2011) — Thirty-one student athletes departed Lincoln University as graduates on Sunday to mark one of the largest classes in school history. The seniors represent 16 sports and form the first group to graduate as fully active NCAA Division II athletes having experienced the three-year transition culminating in the landmark 2010-11 year.
Included in the highly decorated class are the 2011 Female Athlete of the Year Kristina Rembert (women's cross country/track & field) and the Frank “Tic” Coleman Sportsmanship Award winner Aaron Hunter (men's track & field)
Jared Randle, the school's record holder in the long jump, and DeJuana Mosley, a softball and women's basketball player who became the latest to join the 1000-point club, were also among those to turn the tassels.
Each individual below had the opportunity to wear the prestigious student-athlete sash at the commencement ceremony. Legendary comedian Bill Cosby delivered the keynote address.
