LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — Using his legs and his arm, Lincoln sophomore quarterback Laquan Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Bartram) earned his way to a nomination for the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) Division II Player of the Week. The winner will be determined by a fan poll conducted through Tuesday.
Williams, playing in his hometown of Philadelphia, was the offensive catalyst in Sunday's 12-0 win over Cheyney University in the Battle of the Firsts. He was 10-for-21 for 129 yards and a touchdown. The dual threat ran for a career-high 97 yards on 19 carries. His production alone (226 yards) was more than three times that of the Wolves' offense (81 yards). Lincoln also had the ball seven minutes more than Cheyney.
