RICHMOND, Va. — On Thursday, July 22, Lincoln University of Pennsylvania head football coach O.J. Abanishe will join his colleagues to kick off the upcoming season at the 2010 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Pre-Season Football Luncheon.

The press conference, to be held at the Jones Dinning Hall on the campus of Virginia State University campus, is scheduled to begin at 11:30 with the coaches interview portion to begin shortly thereafter.

Multiple outlets will stream the event, bringing the yearly staple anywhere an internet connection is available.

The CIAA Livestream home, www.livestream.com/ciaa, will be the flagship home of the event. Media are welcomed to ask questions through the feed. Those questions will be asked by emcee Stan Lewter. All questions will be pre-screened for appropriateness/relevance and there is no guarantee that your question will be addressed.

Additionally, The Jack Gravely Show, based in Richmond on WLEE 990 AM Radio, will broadcast live. Jack Gravely broadcast from the site last year and Commissioner Leon Kerry invited him back.

The show will provide three hours of talk from 9 a.m. to noon. Last year, Gravely interviewed eight coaches and several presidents, athletic directors and sports information directors.

The Jack Gravely Show can be heard on WLEE 990 AM Radio in Richmond, www.wlee990.am, and www.jackgravelyshow.com.

Lincoln returns nine starters on offense and 10 starters on defense as the program begins its third season of play since 1960. The Lions open 2010 at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 5 versus Cheyney University of Pennsylvania at Northeast High School in Philadelphia. In last year's meeting, LU used a convincing second half to cruise to a 41-20 victory over its rival.
