BOSTON, Mass. — Competing at the ECAC championships at the Reggie Lewis Track, the Lincoln University women struggled against the elite competition offered by the Division I schools.

None of Lincoln's athletes made it out of the preliminaries, held on Friday.

Competing in the fifth and final heat of the 400 meters, Esha Wannamaker clocked in at 58.03 for 22nd place.

Running her first 800 since breaking 2:10 last week at the Fast Track Invitational, freshman middle distance runner Bienna Freeman narrowly missed competing in the finals with a 2:13.13 for 13th. Only the top nine advanced.

Wanamaker and Freeman teamed up in the 4x400-meter relay with Antonia Jones (Philadelphia, PA, Northeast) and Kristina Rembert (Bronx, NY, Cathedral) for a 3:51.32 for 18th place.

The ECAC Championshpis draws the 2009-10 indoor season to a close. The outdoor season begins March 27 with the Raleigh Relays.
