Freeman, Heath enjoy outstanding day

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Bienna Freeman (Christiana, DE/Christiana) continued her onslaught on college track and field. She led the way as the Lincoln women's track and field squad enjoyed outstanding individual performances at the Armory Track at the Fast Track Invitational.

Freeman ran a 2:09.31 800-meter race, which was not only a seasn best but also would have qualified her for the NCAA Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships. It was also five seconds better than her previous quickest time.

Heath Morgan was the only athlete to clear 5 feet, 5 inches, winning the high jump. It was a personal best for her, and if she had clearend the next mark two inches higher, she two would've reached the automatic qualifying mark for NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships

Esha Wanamaker (Wilmington, DE/Glasgow), Kristina Rembert (Bronx, NY/Cathedral), and Antonia Jones (Philadelphia, PA/Northeast) all placed in the 400 meter dash. Wanamaker finished 8th with a time of 56.99, Rembert placed 16th after running a 58.25, and Jones ran a 58.59 for 19th.

The team of Jones, Rembert, Wanamaker, and Freeman placed fourth in the 4x400 meter relay, running a time of 3:55.06.

On Saturday, the team will participate in the ECAC Championships Meet at Northeastern.
