NEW YORK, N.Y. —
Long jumpers dominated Friday while the middle-distance guys impressed Saturday at the famed Armory Track.

Competing at the New Balance Invitational, Aaron Hunter (Sharon Hill, PA/Academy Park) (Sharon Hill, PA, Academy Park)took second in the long jump with a leap of 7.49 meters, only bested by Time Boeni of Temple. Jared Randle (Kanakee, IL/Kanakee) (Kanakee, IL, Kanakee) leapt 7.15 meters for seventh.

The meet featured top talent from spanning from Atlantic to the Pacific.

In the 60-meter dash, Rushane Scott (Allentown, PA/William Allen) and Anthony Bishop (Philadelphia, PA/Martin Luther King) placed 29th and 3rd of 59 competitors with times of 6.93 and 9.95 seconds, respectively. There were nine heats in the deep field.

In the 4x400-meter relay, the Lions faced the top schools from across Pennsylvania. Although the 3:18.59 was slower than their seed time (3:16.25), Alex Wright (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) (Brooklyn, NY, John Dewey), Matthew Coston (Queens, N.Y./Dover HS) (Brooklyn, NY, Dover), Anthony Bishop (Philadelphia, PA/Martin Luther King) (Philadelphia, PA, Martin Luther King) and Diedre Mcloud still finished second behind Villanova.

Individually, Coston was second in the 800 meters 1:53.54 , an event won with a 1:52.45 by Terrance Livingstone.

LU returns to the Amory for the middle trip of three straight visits. Saturday, Lincoln competes in the Rider-Lafayette Invitational.
