SPRING FOOTBALL GAME SET FOR THURSDAY APRIL 9

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA. (April 6, 2009) – The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania football team will hold its Orange and Blue Spring football game on Thursday April 9 at Avon Grove High School beginning at 7:00 p.m. The intrasquad game is the culmination of spring football practice which started two weeks ago. The Lions will open the 2009 season on Saturday August 29, 2009 at rival Cheyney University (1:00 p.m.). Olabaniji Abanishe is Lincoln’s head coach.

Tahirah Stewart

Bowling

Tahirah Stewart bolwed four 200+ pins games over the weekend at Bowie State including a 216 versus the host Bulldogs. On Sunday against ECSU, she bowled eight strikes in a Baker-style system. At the tournament, the team set a program record with 18 wins in a season.

Marquise Hudson

Baseball

Marquise Hudson went 6-for-10 in baseball's split Saturday versus Saint Paul's. Included in that was his first career homer, a two-run blast in the top of the fifth inning, helping Lincoln rout the Tigers 15-6.
