Several athletes from volleyball, softball, men's and women's basketball, women's track and field, and football team participated in the Harvest Festival for the children in the community over the Halloween weekend.

They helped with games and passed out candy on Halloween as members of the Lincoln Community Association. The athletic group took a hay ride around what track calls “the ten-mile loop” entertaining the young crowd with songs.

“I enjoyed laughing and playing games with the kids in the neighborhood even though it was raining," said junior volleyball said Lia Hubbard (Farrell, PA, Farrell).

Some of LU's volunteers were even surprised by how much they enjoyed the event even though a lot of work went into putting it on for the children in the community.

“This is bananas coach," men's basketball player Denzel Mooney (Baltimore, MD, Western School of Technology) said. "I didn't think I would have this much fun in the cold and rain. These kids are so much fun. I can't wait until the next event.”
