Lions add 15 on Signing Day

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — On football’s Signing Day, Lincoln University football coach O.J. Abanishe is pleased to announce the signing of 15 athletes from six states for the class of 2010.

Lincoln University athletics is taking part in the School Datebooks competition in which voters can vote on the best covers for university notebooks. After winning the second round of competition against Maryville University, LU faces-round matchup, LU takes on McNeese State University.

Athletes of the Week

Bienna Freeman

Women's Track

Bienna Freeman is dominating the competition in the 800 this year. This past week at the Thomson Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware, she won by a blistering 12 seconds with a 2:16.74. She also catupulted Lincoln to third place from the middle of the pack in the 4x400 from the anchor position.

Mfon Ekanem

Women's Basketball

Mfon Ekanem was one of the freshmen that helped Lincoln Defeat Cheyney for the first time in nine years. Saturday at the Liacouras Center, she dominated the interior. She had 12 rebounds and six blocks. When she wasn't swatting the ball away, she altered shots. A rattled Cheyney could not find the buckets needed in the final moments.
